George Hess to Race the Pikes Peak Hill Climb for the Third Time!

George Hess has been a member and is a Past President of Colorado Springs Home Builders Association for a long time. Not only has George served our industry but he has also served our community through his non profit projects like John Zay I and II. He helped found and serve on the HBA Careers in Construction Board of Directors, served as chair of the HBI committee at NAHB, and also a part of the Pikes Peak Range Riders Foundation.

George Hess III is a humble leader who continues to give his all to the community and industry. His willingness to allow HBA Cares, the philanthropic arm of the HBA, to sell sponsorships for his trip up America's Mountain in the Pikes Peak Hill Climb is just one more example of George's heart for the community and the City of Colorado Springs. He could easily get sponsorships to race, but instead he allows sponsorships to be sold to give back to the community he so dearly loves.

George puts everything he has into all he does, whether that is business, philanthropy or extracurricular activities.  His fascination with America's Mountain didn't start just a few years ago, but began with his race on a motorcycle back in his younger days. Not everyone gets to race into the clouds of Pikes Peak. You have to be selected and George will be driving in his 3rd consecutive race in 2020.  We are thankful for George's example of leadership and service to his community, family and friends. Good Luck George!
